Greetings and Thanks from Bethlehem

With the help of some churches in the Netherlands Palestinian children could celebrate Christmas. The proceeds were sent to Bethlehem , to Pastor Jonathan Esawi, whose ministry team organized a children's party and food hampers for needy families.

Dear Friends,

Greetings to all of you! I am very glad to report to you about our Christmas program for the children and food distribution for the most needy families in the city of Bethlehem . A total number of 122 boys and girls from the city of Bethlehem and the surrounding fields field were invited for a nice Christmas program.

They came full of joy and ready to sing, and color, play games, have a nice meal and leave with a Christmas gift. Every child went home blessed: this year's program made a big difference for the children since the schools have been on strike for many months, as the political situation worsens, and the internal fighting is happening daily in many parts of the land. Children deserve the best - they should not be subjected to such violence; they deserve to live their childhood in peace. That's what has motivated us year after year to do such a program in the Bethlehem area, and due to the same reasons we extended it to the cities of Hebron and Aboud.

The food distribution was timely too, due to the unemployment and the harsh political situation that is hitting the territories hard. Twenty-four of the poorest fárnilies in our area received a 50$ food package with rice, milk, and other essential items. This will last them at least one to two weeks.

I wish you could have seen the faces when they received the help, and hear how very thankful they were for this gift. So on behalf of all the children, their famelies, and the families who received the food, THANK YOU! Your gift this Christmas made a big difference in the lives of those people. Please keep praying, and keep Jerusalem on your heart.

Blessings, Jonathan Esawi
